The Magical Filipina Home Page
This is the front door to our web site, which will always be under construction as we add caregivers
and services. It is unusually so at the moment as we change web service providers. You may not be
able to access all the pages and photos for a day or so as of December 18 2008

There is no charge for our immigration services to the community

Please feel free to visit, and take a look around. Then please give us your comments.
Since 1957, under various company configurations, we have been
helping people from all over the world immigrate to Canada, which
is officially recognized as the best country in the world for overall
quality of life. Although we serve the country and its residents
from Halifax Nova Scotia, to Vancouver, British Columbia,
Through many peaceful changes in government and direction,
most of our efforts have benefited residents of the Province of
Quebec.
We go back over forty years to the Hungarian revolution. Some of our
people are better known as part of Operation Lifeline for the
Vietnamese Boat People. They helped Twenty-five thousand families
come to Quebec from refugee camps throughout Southeast Asia in
the 70’s and 80’s. We are an International association of two
organizations under a Quebec non-profit corporation umbrella.
Our Mission
Our primary mission is to unite good willing domestic workers, with good employers who will not exploit them.
We also provide Immigration services to technical people and others wishing to immigrate to Canada.
Who are our members ?
Each and every caregiver who is presented for a job interview from our organization, is a member. There are a few Canadians but most
come from all over the third world. The majority come from four areas.
There are Filipina’s working in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. We rarely take girls directly
from the Philippines, unless they are practicing midwives, teachers, or nurses. Most other references simply turn out to be false.
Last but not least we also have candidates from four Caribbean islands with a history of willing workers such as St. Lucia, St. Vincent,
Grenada, and Dominica.
Company Profile
The Magical Filipina was incorporated under part 3 of the Government of Quebec’s Loi sur l’incorporation des companies in 1993. It is
the final non-profit version of a cooperative started at the request of Quebec Government Immigration staff members in 1989. And started
when a group of students helped refugee students from Hungary come in during their 1957 - 58 revolution.
A domestic file started by an Individual employer for an overseas caregiver seems to take up to three years, if it ever clears. Government
file checks close many after a year or two without warning. Our files clear between six months and a year, Why? Simple. We have people
who have been helping legitimate investors and caregivers get into this country for over Forty-five years.
We have gained a good reputation among the Federal and Provincial civil servants who know our files aren’t faked. We have completed
over thirty-eight thousand files. Only two files were refused outside Canada. Two inside Canada files were refused their permanent status
because they changed employers too often, before they came to us. Another couple of dozen were closed by us. We will close a file if our
own investigation reveals faked references, or other problems.
